Food is Health

The US spends $1.7T each year on food. It spends $1.9T on the healthcare cost of poor nutrition. Globally, the healthcare cost of poor nutrition exceeds $14T.

While healthcare continues to innovate, what we eat impacts our health. If we improve food nutrition quality, we improve health.

While this is simple in concept, it is hard in execution.

A cadre of companies, customers, and policymakers, from the dirt in our farms to the cardiac care units in our hospitals, toil every day to make food and health better. The scope of food and health touches a wide array of industries, science, skills, and policy. Early innovators see the answer coming into focus, many do not. More technology and innovation is yet to come.

The purpose of this newsletter is to provide a backstage pass to the future of food is health. New technology and business models in work today, which impact society 5, 10, and 15 years from now.

We seek to reveal the 1000s of little innovations occurring today, that are the building blocks of Food is Health.
