Every single episode is my new favorite, and I've been waiting to hear learn more about Erin Martin's work! I sometimes lose sight of just how difficult it can be to be struggling with metabolic ill health - all the comorbidities associated with, all the side effects and potential complications of medication management, and on top of that, feelings of shame or guilt or inferiority because you just don't know how to get better. Poor quality food distribution is not equity which is a stark contrast to Erin's program focused on providing the best quality food that not only is the most nutrient dense, but that tastes great, combined with the support that leads to positive health OUTCOMES.
Industrial Ag is something I know very little about and would love to learn more. I think it might actually be more complex than our healthcare system. Same goes for Ellen's work realigning incentives to shift towards outcomes. If you guys are interested in connecting with a group researching how diet relates to mental health for an episode, check out Metabolic Mind: https://www.metabolicmind.org/
